To organize your stays with complete peace of mind, the Moulin de Vézelay supports you by offering you various services and tailor-made services that can be adapted to your desires and needs. When you come to us, take your suitcases, we'll take care of the rest!

Restoration

The Moulin de Vézelay is located in a territory rich in men and women who develop the land. We therefore decided to set up partnerships to consume as many local products as possible. We offer family, seasonal and local cuisine.

Everything we can make at home is made in our kitchen.

We want to fight against food waste, and for that, we need you!

By planning our menus based on reservations only, we can control our stocks and not throw away food.

For any meal taken at the table d'hôtes, catering needs or picnic basket, we ask you to reserve 48 hours in advance or at the time of your reservation.

We take your diet and allergies into account and for this, please mention this to us when you make your reservation.

Our guest table

You will find Françoise and Pauline, mother and daughter, in the kitchen, offering you local, family cuisine. We simply highlight local and seasonal products. We are inspired by recipes from our family that we reinvent. Anything we can't produce on site, we try to find in our region. There are many people who transform the earth and offer us meat, fruits, vegetables, sweets, wine, beer, herbs, flowers…. enough to revive your taste buds!

The meal consists of a unique menu: welcome aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and hot drink. For our youngest guests, a reduced menu is reserved for them.

The table d'hôtes is reserved only for tenants of the guest rooms. Meals are served at 7:30 p.m. communally in the dining room on the 1st floor.

We ask you to reserve your table at least the day before or to let us know when you make your reservation (or to call us no later than 48 hours in advance to inform us).

IMPORTANT: remember to report any food allergies or specific strict diets.

Our breakfasts

What's better than a full breakfast accompanied by the flow of the river to recharge your batteries and start the day well? At Moulin de Vézelay, we understand that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! So we decided to pamper you.

Breakfast for guest room tenants is included in the room price and consists of a hot drink, homemade cakes, fresh bread, brioche, homemade jams and honey, fruit, cheeses, yogurts and fruit juices.

For lodges and groups you can also have your choice of breakfast delivered:

• ""continental"" breakfast at €8/person with on the menu: hot drink, homemade cakes, fresh bread, brioche, homemade jams, honey, fruit and fruit juice

• ""English"" breakfast at €15/person for the gîtes with the menu: hot drink, homemade cakes, fresh bread, brioche, homemade jams, honey, fruit, fruit juice, cheese, cold meats, eggs.

Breakfasts are served indoors from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Our catering service

For foodies who don't live in B&Bs, don't panic, we have the solution! We also offer a catering service for gîtes, groups and within a 15km radius around the Mill!

Same principle: we offer you complete menus including starter, main course and dessert to be picked up at the mill or delivered to your home. We always use local and seasonal products for friendly, family-style cuisine. We can even create the menu with you according to your tastes.

For the caterer, you have several reservation options:

• On the spot

For customers who live in our lodges and groups, you can use our on-site catering service. For this, as for the tables d'hôtes, we ask you to reserve your meal 48 hours in advance and to inform us of any allergies or special diets. For groups, we can also determine the menus in advance together! Then, we bring the meal down to the gîte or the reception room, the cold in the fridge and the hot in the bain-marie. You can come to the table at a time that suits you and we will come and collect the washed dishes the next day! This formula works for lunch and dinner. Practical, right?

The catered meal, starter, main course, dessert is €20/person and €10/child under 12 (simplified menu).

• Take away

If you don't live at the mill, we can still treat you! Whether you are a resident, vacationer or group in another gîte, or even you are a room rental who welcomes groups, we can offer you our takeaway services! We almost do ""take away"" or ""moulin eat"" in the heart of Morvan! You are less than 40 people, you have delivery within a 15km radius around Soeuvres, you like simple, local dishes, we can meet your expectations! To do this, contact us at least two weeks before your event to determine our availability and your needs and then we will take care of everything. We will come and deliver to you at your convenience to put the dishes in your fridge. All you have to do is reheat the hot dishes during the day.

Our picnic baskets

Burgundy and Morvan embody the diversity of France: heritage, gastronomy, art, culture, sport…. There is something for every taste ! Are you planning to go visit the region and want to bring a snack for lunch? Don't panic, our picnic baskets will accompany you for your lunch break. The concept is the same: local and family cuisine. Always keen to preserve our planet, we offer two types of picnic whether you come back in the evening or not:

1. in returnable glasses and drink to be returned to us in the evening at 15€ / person + 10€ deposits

2. sandwich, snack and drink without deposit at €10/person

To reserve your basket, nothing could be simpler: 24 hours in advance, contact us on 03 86 81 98 68 or inform us at reception. You can collect your basket during your breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
 

The swimming pool

Come relax and have a pleasant time by our swimming pool. Sunbathing and a bucolic environment to the sound of the river are perfect for resting, having fun or swimming a few laps.

Access terms:

The swimming pool area is open to guests of the house from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is not supervised. Minor children must be accompanied by an adult, for their safety.

Noisy games, throwing objects, diving and jumping are prohibited in and around the pool.

In order to preserve the environment of this place, we encourage you:

1. to take a shower before bathing and to avoid bathing after using sun cream or oil.

2. to access the swimming pool area wearing sandals suitable for this purpose (no street shoes).

3. to use a swimsuit reserved solely for swimming use.

4. not to bring food or drink onto the beach.

The shop

Our countryside is rich! Rich in producers and artisans. The rural territory is full of unsuspected resources and at Moulin de Vézelay we want to highlight it.

We work with local partners who present their productions to you. You can buy the products in our store or taste them at our table…

You will find among other things: wine from Chablis and Vézelay, biscuits from the Burgundy biscuit factory, honey, beer, oils, chocolate... and also soaps, candles, pottery... You will find what you are looking for bring a little Morvan in your suitcases to enjoy it at home or to introduce it to your loved ones.

Don't hesitate to reserve your products online at the same time as your stay reservation to find them as soon as you arrive!

The Morvan Regional Natural Park resource area

Since July 2023, the Moulin de Vézelay is very proud to have joined the Marque Valeurs Parc network. The Valeurs Parc Naturel Régional brand is a collective brand awarded by the Parks, on the basis of a contractual approach, to all professionals in their territory who wish it and who meet the required level of requirements. It concerns both agricultural products and artisanal products, accommodation and tourist services, educational activities, etc.

We are therefore ambassadors of our beautiful Morvan and we take our mission very seriously. This implies that we are committed to respecting a certain number of common values such as ecology, short circuits, the preservation of biodiversity, etc. It also implies that we are committed to promoting our territory. We therefore suggest that you find a resource box at the Moulin reception containing books, games, educational sheets, maps, documentation on park activities. Everything is at your disposal and can be consulted on site. We are also here to answer your questions, guide your research and give you ideas for visits to do!

The games library and library

At the Moulin de Vézelay, nature is everywhere and invites us to contemplate. It seemed obvious to us to bring this atmosphere into the house with a place that can also invite you to this contemplation: the library! For years and generations, our family has been accumulating books. Here, we were able to give them a place in their own right. This library comes to us from my grandparents, and the works that compose it come from our family, from my parents, from myself and also from neighbors and friends. History, Art, Engineering, Philosophy, Novels, Comics... browse, test and sit comfortably on a sofa or outside on a deck chair, then enjoy this journey of mind with complete peace of mind!

In this room you will also meet two of my great uncles, who followed us here to maintain the memory of the family...

To share convivial moments, you will also find at reception and under the lee a game library with board games, general knowledge games and outdoor games. A completely different way to unwind surrounded by family, friends or guests recently met here.

The park

Calm, tranquility, serenity, the Moulin de Vézelay is protected in a green setting which makes it an ideal place to recharge your batteries and meet up with friends or family

The Moulin de Vézelay is located in a wonderful 3ha park which preserves all its privacy.

You can easily walk there to access the river or discover a hiking trail. Relaxation areas are installed throughout the mill grounds.

We share this space with our pets and farm animals.

You are not safe from coming across one of our four-legged companions during your walks.

You can also come and discover life on our somewhat special farm which welcomes cull animals and always remains attentive to their needs. We will be happy to share our experience by accompanying you in their spaces.

For their well-being and health, we ask you not to feed them in order to respect the diet of each animal according to their state of health.
